Exercising My 2nd Amendment Right

This morning it was 29 degrees at the house. Deer season is coming soon. Last year I went deer hunting for the first time in my life, and I'm hooked. So now, I'm ready to invest in my first rifle, and I can't decide what to buy. I'm considering a bolt action .25-.06, .270, and the American classic, a lever action .30-.30. I need some feedback..what should I buy?

I am not an avid hunter but the 30/30 is my pick. I own a Marlin 30/30. It is light, easy to shoot and of course who doesn't like the lever action? :)

I am partial to 30.06, bolt action. All the men in our house use one (except those who use a 12 gauge, single-shot shotgun).

If you want to look like a Texas cowboy - go with the lever action. :o)

If you REALLY want to have a ball - go to Dick's tonight and buy a bow and go bow hunting in the morning!

Look at my blog tomorrow for my big buck - which I plan on shooting in the morning.

I dont hunt, yet. I long too though. This just might be my year. I know nothing about guns, but I can tell you by looking at them which one will make you look more like a man....the bottom one! That's right, the top one looks too much like a red rider bb gun!!!
Happy hunting.

I passed up two doe yesterday. One was tempting because she was so big!

I am holding out for a buck. I figure bow season is my best chance to bag a buck.
